2025 Pre-K Enrollment Reminder: Pond Creek-Hunter Public Schools (PC-H) is opening pre-enrollment for pre-kindergarten (pre-K) students. Families of children who will be 4 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2025, simply need to fill out and submit an online form to complete their child’s pre-enrollment. The form is available at: https://www.pondcreek-hunter.k12.ok.us/forms/pre-k-students-for-next-school-year.
This process is only for pre-enrollment in our pre-K program. Pre-enrollment allows the district to plan appropriately for the upcoming school year. Information about our transfer policy for out-of-district families is available at https://www.pondcreek-hunter.k12.ok.us/page/transfers. Families will be asked to provide the documentation listed below for full enrollment at a later date but before school starts. NOC has invited our high school students to attend an ACT test prep. workshop presented by Shelly Beaty on Wednesday, March 26th, at the Tonkawa campus from 9:00-11:00. High school students who are interested must register themselves at https://noc.tfaforms.net/217786 and pay $20. Checks may be written to NOC-ACT Prep. Transportation will be provided, so the bus will leave Pond Creek by 8:10 and return by noon. Students will need to eat breakfast before coming to school that day.
This afternoon we were alerted of a smoke smell near the elementary bathrooms. We contacted our local fire department and evacuated all students from the buildings. It was determined that the smell came from a seized up blower motor and all electricity has been turned off. Our local fire department brought their thermal imaging camera and found no hotspots.
The bus will not return home to Pond Creek tonight until after the HS game has finished. Players may check out with a parent/guardian at the game, or permission must be given prior to 3pm today if they will be riding home with someone other than a parent.
The softball games scheduled for Thursday March 6th with Garber have been cancelled. The JH game will be rescheduled for a later date. The HS game will not be rescheduled.
Reminder tonight is spirit night at Chic-fi-la from 5:30pm-8:00pm . Proceeds will help with after prom.
