Parents, Guardians and Guests;-Pond Creek-Hunter Elementary is a high achieving and academically driven school. I am excited to be a part of the team of students, faculty, parents, and community as we work towards a higher level of learning for our students.
My name is Jim Pearce and I grew up in Enid and graduated from Enid High School. My undergraduate degree is from the University of Oklahoma and my Master's is in Administration from Phillips University. I have taught at Waynoka Public School, Tonkawa, Henryetta, Emerson Junior High in Enid, Hennessey and was Elementary Principal at Ringwood before coming to Pond Creek-Hunter.
My wife teaches second grade in Enid, and I have two daughters and one granddaughter. I am the principal trombone in the Enid Symphony and I play in a jazz group the Jazz Daddies. I am also the Music Minister for Willow View Methodist Church.
Let me encourage all our parents and guardians to become involved in your child's education, their growth and life lessons. It takes all of us to keep our kids safe and on the road to being a productive, caring and successful member of the community. Together, we can help our students be prepared for all the new technology and life experiences they will have to face.
